Question 1

What does an IT carve-out engagement involve?

Accepted Answer

A carve-out separates a divested business from the IT its parent provided. Work runs from application and dependency analysis through target-state design, data migration strategy and cutover sequencing, to Day 1 readiness and Day 2 operations including TSA exit.

Question 2

What does Day 1 readiness mean in a separation?

Accepted Answer

Day 1 is the first day the divested business trades as a standalone company, with its infrastructure, applications and data running on its own environment rather than the parent's. On a global data center separation delivered as Technical Principal, Go-Live ran in a 28-hour window with zero technology incidents and 100% of data migrated.

Question 3
